Who We Are
We are an all Volunteer organization made up of businesses, non-profits and community members of Wakefield RI. Our goal is to bring people and businesses together to enjoy the liveliness and charm of Historic Main Street Wakefield, the heart of our community.
What We Do
We invest in downtown Wakefield through revitalization projects and special community events to build on the already-strong sense of community in downtown where residents and visitors enjoy the shops, restaurants, theatre, and bike trail along the Saugatucket River.
Why We Do It
The Wakefield Village Association is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community where local businesses thrive and everyone feels welcome. By organizing free events, supporting local entrepreneurs, and engaging our local community, we aim to create a lively Main Street that brings everyone together. Our work is centered on building, enhancing the local economy, and ensuring that Wakefield is a place everyone is proud to call home.
